Timboon’s Rowan Ferguson is enjoying the benefits of a Powell Legacy Fund scholarship.
“As a first year Exercise and Sport Science student at Deakin University at Waurn Ponds, the Powell Legacy Fund Scholarship has greatly assisted me by providing financial support towards costs as a first year uni student, such as a new laptop, printer, along with costs associated with residential and student association fees.
Rowan is studying a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science Degree which runs across three years. “The funds supplied by this scholarship will support me by contributing towards ongoing residential costs directly related to living on campus away from home, greatly reducing my personal financial commitments.
“As a recipient of the Powell Legacy Fund Scholarship, I will pursue a similar dedication towards maintaining community ties and contributing to volunteering roles, always keeping in mind these tightly held values of Ross and Andy.”
Applications for the Powell Legacy Fund, administered by the DemoDAIRY Foundation are now open and will close in late November.
