
DemoDAIRY Foundation is seeking two new directors to join the Board.
Founding director and chairperson, Duncan Morris, and director, James Green, have indicated they will stand down at the next annual meeting at the end of October 2021.
DDF has a mission of supporting the Western District dairy industry to improve the business management skills of dairy farmers, with innovative learning approaches and evolving technologies contributing to a sustained improvement in farm profitability and farmer lifestyles.
The board meets 3-4 times per year to consider new proposals for funding and to assess the progress and outcomes of funded activities. Board members come from a range of backgrounds and do not represent specific organisations but contribute their knowledge of dairy farming or dairy service providers to identify opportunities to support young farmers develop their management skills and the best way to support these activities using scholarships or grants.
DDF is also responsible for administering the Powell Legacy Fund which provides scholarships to students in the Corangamite Shire.
